West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, Inc. provides power to more than 31,000 members in Western Kentucky. Headquartered in Mayfield, Kentucky, the Cooperative serves members in Graves, Carlisle, Calloway, Livingston, Hickman and Marshall Counties in Kentucky and in Henry County, Tennessee.
Members of the Cooperative are also the utility’s owners. Daily operations are carried out by a dedicated group of supervisors, line crew and office staff under the leadership of President & CEO David Smart. Oversight is provided by a board of directors, elected by the membership and representing each of the Cooperative’s four districts.
The Cooperative is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative and a distributor of Tennessee Valley Authority power. We currently hold memberships in the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA), the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives (KAEC) and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
