Kenneth "Pete" Galloway

My name is Pete Galloway and I am a candidate seeking to serve on the Board of Directors of the West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, which serves the people of Carlisle, Calloway, Marshall and Graves counties. I will be listed on the ballot as Kenneth “Pete” Galloway.

I am a lifelong resident of Graves County. I am married to the former Donna Thompson from the Symsonia area. We live in the south part of Graves County and have two daughters, Brittany Farr and Keri Cornwell, plus seven wonderful grandchildren and two beautiful great granddaughters. I am a retired teacher and school administrator, having served as Director of Pupil Personnel, Assistant Superintendent, and ultimately as Superintendent of the Graves County School District.

The decisions that the West Kentucky RECC Board make impacts the lives and well-being of so many people in our communities. Our farmers depend on affordable electricity. Our businesses depend on affordable electricity. We all depend on affordable electricity. You never know when our area will get hit with another ice storm, tornado, flooding rains, or whatever else “Mother Nature” may send our way, but we must be prepared. We all know that West Kentucky RECC provides outstanding service to restore power outages. They must have the best personnel and latest equipment to do this, and I support them 100 percent while at the same time doing everything I can to support keeping rates affordable.

I feel our cooperative provides an excellent service, both inside our offices and out in the field, to its almost 35,000 members. I believe that West Kentucky RECC stands firm on its core values of honesty, integrity, accountability and its commitment to the community. And I would love the opportunity to serve you and all our members on the as one of your RECC’s Board of Directors.

Please consider voting for me as I seek a position on the board of directors of the West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative. Your vote and support are greatly appreciated. Remember: Voting will be “drive-thru” on the campus of Graves County High School on Friday, July 11 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thank you again and I look forward to serving you and all members of West Kentucky RECC.
